Upgrading maemo launcher

Hello,

I run apt-get update and apt-get upgrade this morning. I saw the
maemo-launcher is supposed to be upgraded. I stopped there, because I vaguely
remember that this broke some time ago the Nokia 770 and brought it in
continous reboot cycles.

Is this upgrade now safe?

Thanks,
Rainer

Well, mistral/scirocco is supposed to be used for development only, so
upgrading from device is not so kinda right

However, if you have Image week39-2006, then updating the maemo-launcher
from scirocco will reboot device once. It's safe. I've tested it :)
Since scirocco & mistral have the same maemo-launcher version, i'd see
no reason why it wouldn't be safe for your case (unless some other
listed repos also contain maemo-launcher)

To be safe, I suggest disabling the rebooting first with the flasher:
'flasher --enable-rd-mode --set-rd-flags=no-lifeguard-reset'. Then
reboot manually after upgrading.

(Remember to disable rd-mode later.)

In my case the terminal closed when trying to upgrade maemo-launcher, so
I did the upgrade over a ssh connection.

No problems so far.
