I like the idea to organise something at FOSDEM but the combined
distro doesn't really motivate me :p

I think Maemo.org needs to focus on growing the community and continue
on working
to make things easier/nicer for developers. While I think meeting
other distro's is a nice idea I would prefer
to have many presentations about Maemo and possibly a booth(/me is
Willing to help)

Greetings

I don't think there are going to be traditional 'developer rooms' this
time around. This is traditionally where talks specifically on debian
were held. If we want to do something similar, for example hold talks,
I think we need to get in touch with FOSDEM early to find out what
kind of space is available. They are not going to do the same thing
as last year where people got rooms to hold talks.

I'll write them and see what the scoop is, I'll ask about a room to
hold talks; what more do we want?

Jeremiah

I'd love to rip off-- er, honor what Fedora is doing re organizing by
emulating this page at maemo.org:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FOSDEM_2010

That would really be nice to do for Maemo Summit 2010 as well.

Rather than a Maemo distroom, it would seem better to have a mobile
devroom, and have presentations on Maemo, but also LiMo and Moblin, and
mobile application development platforms.

I'd be happy to help putting together a schedule.

Cheers,
Dave.

Sounds good, but it leaves out a bit of participation with debian
which is our immediate upstream.

I think we need to get information and confirmation from FOSDEM first,
this is the first year they are doing this and the logistics have to
be worked out.
