[lvs-users] backup LVS terminates

I noticed the backup LVS always terminates with signal 15 after it
fails back to the master. So it can only play as backup LVS once, if
the master fails over again, there would be no backup to take over.
Any ideas what would cause this? I am using piranha + lvs with NAT.

You need to ask on the (very quiet) Piranha list:

http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/piranha-list

why is that? The question shouldn't be specific to piranha, i'm not
even using the web front end.

I recently fixed this in RHEL6. Let me know what distribution/release
you are using.

This is specific to piranha. The pulse, lvsd, and nanny daemons are all
part of piranha. What is happening is that pulse exits when either lvsd
or nanny are terminated. A failover occurs, but since pulse is no longer
running on one of the directors, that director is no longer serving as a
backup.

Hope this helps.

Ryan
