What is payload

Hello Dears,

I do not know what the meaning of payload is.

Can you tell what it is?

I think an example is very easy to understand.

Thanks your help.

Re: What is payload [In reply to]

I payload is a byte array attached to a specific term in the posting
list. That byte array can be anything you want, but in practice it
usually needs to be pretty small (couple of bytes at most).

See http://www.lucidimagination.com/blog/2009/08/05/getting-started-with-payloads/
for more info on using them, etc.
