any examples of using mon for service monitoring and failover

I see that the recommended solution to service monitoring for
failover at the moment is Mon. I'm using drbd over a crossover cable
link and heartbeat at the moment and have a working high availability
setup. However, I'd like to have an Active/Active setup with some
services running on each host and a service failure causing failover
instead of the whole box having to be down. Anyone know of any examples
of doing this with Mon to monitor say Samba and OpenLDAP?

Jason
