Review request for ocf:heartbeat:dhcpd (ISC DHCPD RA)
Using a combination of existing DHCPD init script code and the
development guide for the resource agents, I've completed an initial
version of a DHCPD RA script. When I posted to the linux-ha list for
some assistance, Florian contacted me an indicated it might be useful
for the community as a whole and indicated I should review the
"maintaining resource agents" section and make it available for review .
As such I've forked the github resource agent repository, and just
committed the initial version of the dhcpd script into my forked
repository. It can be found at:
https://cbowlby [at] github/cbowlby/resource-agents.git
The script is located in heartbeat/dhcpd
I fully expect to find it rough around the edges, as this is strictly a
get it working within a limited design set initially, then expand on it
over time. In addition, I've been going through a learning curve that I
feel I still have much to learn, so there may be some oopsies. I've
attempted to keep the formatting the same, though I have added some
additional header content to make sure other authors are represented.
I've enabled the issues tracker for my repository, as well as an initial
milestone for the review phase.
There is one issue that remains to be addressed, and that is fail-over
to another node when the primary goes down, for now - however, the
script works enough to bring the dhcpd process online on the primary node.
Any feedback that can be provided would be great, as well as any
assistance as to what I am missing in reference to failing over.
