MySQL-Proxy OCF Resource Agent - Coder Wanted!

Hi all,

My employer seeks a coder experienced in writing HA OCF resource agents to
create a mysql-proxy RA.

MySQL Proxy allows the implementation of various neat features for MySQL,
including read/write splitting, connection pooling, and load balacing.

This is a paid job on a one-time basis. We realize that although this is
a small project, talented coders deserve likewise pay. The RA would have
to monitor the process (checking to see if the PID is alive and well would
suffice) and be able to cleanly start and stop the resource on the
cluster.

We WILL release the resource agent under the GPL once it is complete. We
have ZERO interest in keeping the RA for ourselves. (We are happy to put
this into a written understanding if need be.) We just happen to have an
immediate need for an RA which does not yet exist.

Interested coders can contact me by responding to the list or to me
personally. I will check both.

Thanks,

Zack

My company may still be interested in an experienced and qualified coder for this project. However did not receive any interested responses.

Best regards,

To clarify, my company still wants to pay someone to write this RA. My guess, it wouldnt take more than a couple hours. Easy money for someone with the talent.

Its a good cause, too, as the resulting RA will be GPL'd.
