Hi there,

Just thought give some feedback.

Using rather 'old' gcc and the plan is to upgrade next weekend
gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-113)

Loading went fine... initing ok... hooray.. Stream is stable altough mpg is
garbled with big colourfull blocks. Probarly channel 4 or NTSC related but
it doesn't matter it's good to see a stable flow for now.

Still got a question though. Does it differ wich encoder/decoder version is
used.? Initial release was one encoder/decoder only but the newer versions
has two decoder versions as H.P. already pointed out. For the CX23416
perhaps?

yeah that's about what's expected.

I've tested with 2 versions, and it seems to work fine
with both (sorry don't have them handy..) The encoder
is the only relevant part for captures.

I dunno. At this point, i think of the decoder as
little as possible :)

Cool. I was up almost all night working (bleh!) but if
i can, I'll patch in some PAL values, since most of
our testers seem to live in the land of PAL.
