cx18: Two cards, getting input/out error with cat /dev/video1

I'm new to the list, but not the ivtv project. This is my first attempt
with the cx18 driver.
I send a fairly detailed message earlier but it bounced due to the large
size. I cut it down a bit and resent it and didn't get any feedback but
since it hasn't come back an hour later I'm wondering if it got blacklisted.
I'll send more details under a seperate post but both of my cards appear to
load fine according to dmesg, and they both load the firmware when you try
and access them but only /dev/video0 works when I try cat /dev/video0 >
test.mpg.
When I do the same thing with /dev/video1 I get an input/output error, both
no other visibile errors in the logs.
Details with log entries and lspci will be forthcoming if this goes
through.
