CX18 - latest (incomplete) position for my testing

Using mplayer with the -vf-clr option I can now get smooth video from the Composite input but still no sound. If I use v4l2-ctl to set the tuner and frequencies, cat the /dev/video to a file and then use mplayer to play that (with -framedrop , -vf-clr) I get good video for a while and the judders. I will do more testing during the week or perhaps next weekend.
