0.3.2s not working with M179? "i2c client id: 0x02 not found!" error (pt1)

[.My message is sitting in the moderator queue for approval because it's too large.] Running 0.3.2s on 2.6.12-rc2, self-compiled on Debian. Compiled, removed kernel tuner and tveeprom, installed, depmod -a, rebooted. MythTV works with the Hauppauge cards (Card 1, 2, 3 and 5), but not with the M179; M179 just gives static. Below, you can see that it's printing an i2c error when initializing the M179 as Card #4 and setting the tuner.
