PVR-500 tuner 1 "junk" at top

Hi all:

I'm running ivtv-0.3.2o with a PVR-250 and a PVR-500. I've noticed some
junk accross the top two lines of the picture. The interesting thing is
that this happens only on the first tuner; the second tuner is fine.

I don't really know what the "junk" is; it looks almost like it could be
white digits on black background compressed to two lines or could simply
be random. It does appear to be strickly black and white, with more
black than white.

Does anyone else have this issue or know what the "junk" is?

I also want to thank you guys for the hard work. I am very impressed,
espicially at the speed of releases. I've been using 0.3.2 for less
than a week, and there have already been 4 releases, 2 of which came out
in one day! I'd love to help, although I have no experience programming
drivers and haven't looked at the code yet.

--Jim

It's VBI (closed captioning) data. Your TV usually chops off a lot
more than the first two rows.

Have a look through the list archives for more information, but
apparently you can use the playback filter:
crop=1:0:0:0
in myth to set it blank.

Cheers,

Ross
