tveeprom error, i think

I've had my 250 working once before(well, sound wasn't working, but at
least i could change channels). Here's the output of the ivtv driver
when it was working:

I don't know why the tuner is no longer being detected. I've upgraded
the kernel and driver. I'm really at a loss.

This seems to be going around lately. Make sure you are using the
right modules. It seems that you might need to rename a couple
modules that come with the kernel because of duplicates. Look at the
PVR 350 posts on 0x50 errors. They fixed it by renaming *-ivtv.ko to
the regular .ko file. I'm assuming here that the tveeprom is the
problem first.

I fixed it with adding


alias tveeprom tveeprom-ivtv

to my /etc/modprobe.conf in fedora core that fixed it also

the tuner detection is the problem. You could load
ivtv with the tuner=47 option or you could fix
tveeprom. i think either should fix your problem, but
obviously tveeprom would be the better solution :)
