Dunno nothing about device driver programming but you all might wanted to
know that lirc works quite well with these PVR cards. ;-)
Black remote use lirc-0.6.6, configure with wintv hauppauge, conf file is
included in the lirc package.
Grey remote you have to use latest cvs, configure with wintv hauppauge. conf
file attached.
It will spare you all some valuable time.
