what does Close and what does Quit ?

what does Close and what does Quit ?

On the File menu from GPA interface there are two buttons, Close and
Quit.
What is the difference between them ?

(I'm on Win32)

GPA has several "main" windows: keyring editor, file manager,
clipboard.

"Close" closes the current main window. "Quit" closes all of them.
