No. For non-trivial changes the FSF requires a written (i.e. paper) copyright assignment. If I would add code from you, you would have the copyright on that parts of the code. Now if for example the FSF wants to change the license (say from GPL to LGPL) they would have to get your permission to do that. Now consider there are dozens of authors and some may not agree or are simply not anymore reachable. Thus copyright assignments are the way to go. Shalom-Salam, Werner -- Die Gedanken sind frei.
