gnupg 2.0.10 broke kgpg 3.5.9 ???

Dear developers,

recently gpg 2.0.10 went "stable" in gentoo, and now a lot of people are seeing issues with kgpg (3.5.9).
Gnupg output is not parsed correctly anymore, and a garbled keyring is displayed.

For details, see http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263454

Do you have any clue what the problem in detail is, and/or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Andreas

(opening up a kgpg bug in parallel, see
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188473
)

Hi,

I approved a couple of pending posts today, thus this old mail. The
problem seems to be solved already.

For reference:

The problem was that kgpg did not used --fixed-list-mode and we made
that option the default with 2.0.10. That option was introduced with
GnuPG 1.0.5, released on 2001-04-29 and I assumed that all applications
are using it by now.

Salam-Shalom,

Werner

Hi Werner,

yes, that is correct. The curresponding patch went into KDE HEAD, and will hopefully be backported to 3.5.(9,10) soon, too. For details see

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188473

So, problem solved.

Best,
Andreas
