how to recover Mac OS X boot partition

Hello. I have Mac OS X 10.4 and Gentoo Linux dual-boot with yaboot on my
iBook/G3. Today I accidentally destroyed /dev/hda2, the Mac OS boot
partition, by using:

# mke2fs /dev/hda2

Is there a way to recover? If Mac OS X boot partition is pretty
standard, I guess I should be able to recover just by asking someone in
the mailing list to send an image of that partition and recover the
image. The following is my partition layout

zhangweiwu[at]esmeralda:~$ sudo mac-fdisk -l /dev/hda
/dev/hda
# type name length base ( size ) system
/dev/hda1 Apple_partition_map Apple 63 @ 1 ( 31.5k) Partition map
/dev/hda2 Apple_Boot eXternal booter 262144 @ 64 (128.0M) Unknown
/dev/hda3 Apple_HFSX Apple_HFSX_Untitled_1 75044712 @ 262208 ( 35.8G) Unknown
/dev/hda4 Apple_Bootstrap bootstrap 1600 @ 75306920 (800.0k) NewWorld bootblock
