bootstrap 10.4.6 odcctools fails

Just updated to 10.4.6, now the configure script for odcctools fails:

* Bootstrapping Gentoo prefixed portage installation using
* host: unknown-apple-darwin8
* prefix: /Volumes/portage/
* ready to bootstrap all
checking build system type... configure: error: /bin/sh /Volumes/
portage//var/tmp/odcctools-20060123/odcctools-20060123/config.sub -
apple-darwin8.6.0 failed

What can I do?

fixed by resetting PATH to /bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin
