I've been attempting to get a 3ware 8506 64bit PCI card to work in a B2000, running Gentoo 2006.something, under kernel 2.6.19.1-pa0. I've been unable to do so to date. The machine kernel panics when the 3ware 8000/9000 series driver is compiled in to the kernel, or loaded as a module. Below is a crash dump from the machines latest boot attempt. The backtrace is the same in both a 64bit slot and a 32bit slot. The backtrace is also the same when the driver is compiled directly into the kernel. ------- * Letting udev process events ...3ware Storage Controller device driver for Linux v1.26.02.001. If needed, I can provide access to the machine so developers can poke around with things. Thank you for your time, Zach -- gentoo-hppa [at] gentoo mailing list
