kopete-3.5.10-r5 from kde-sunset won't compile. [In reply to]

Hi,

Sorry for the last blank post. Seamonkey 2 is getting on my nerves
with this sending blank messages crap. Anyway. I'm trying to keep
KDE 3 around until KDE 4 gets its act together. I have ran into this
problem tho and can't get past it. This is the error I get for
kopete:

I did some googlin and it appears to be related to gcc. Is this a gcc
problem or a kopete problem? Everything else has compiled fine,
including the old KDE 3 packages. Here is a snippet of my emerge

Thanks for the prompt responses. The char*/const char* issue seems to
be a common one when building the old KDE code with newer versions of
GCC. I hit one myself, but was happy to see it fixed when I did an
update.

Keep up the good work,

Just to confirm that it compiled fine after the fix. You guys are
quicker on the overlay fixes than the portage devs. lol I didn't have
to file a bug either. :-)

I wish you could fix Seamonkey 2 and it sending blank emails. Replies
are fine but the first message to a mailing list has to be sent through
webmail. Weird.

Thanks much.
