Pidgin lost all Icons

Hello,

since a few days I try to solve a problem with missing icons in Pidgin.
I tried everything I thought of including rebuilding pidgin and just
finished rebuilding @system and @world.

I am now totally out of ideas.

Because pictures say more then words:

Pidgin Buddy List

Pidgin Statusbar Icon

Maybe related problem with Firefox
http://www.darkmetatron.de/darkweb/problem01.png

and with Thunderbird
http://www.darkmetatron.de/darkweb/problem02.png

The icons are there on the disk and I can open them as a regular user so
permissions can't be the problem I think.

I add the output of emerge --info to this mail.

Greetings

The latest shared-mime-info ebuild says:
elog "The database format has changed between 0.60 and 0.70."
elog "You may need to update all your local databases and caches."
elog "To do so, please run the following commands:"
elog "(for each user) $ update-mime-database ~/.local/share/mime/"
elog "(as root) # update-mime-database /usr/local/share/mime/"

:)

From experience I know that missing that particular message can make
inkscape think all images are svg. :)
