------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. http://bugs.exim.org/show_bug.cgi?id=817 Summary: Improve exposure of 8bitmime support Product: Exim Version: 4.69 Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: wishlist Priority: medium Component: Transports AssignedTo: nigel[at]exim.org ReportedBy: iane[at]sussex.ac.uk CC: exim-dev[at]exim.org 8bitmime is a requirement for Lemonade submission servers. It's supported by Exim, with the accept_8bitmime option, but that option is disabled by default. Exim may be the most widespread MTA without proper 8bitmime support. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8BITMIME 8bitmime could be enabled by default if the smtp transport were able to convert 8 bit MIME parts to 7 bit when necessary. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.exim.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email -- ## List details at http://lists.exim.org/mailman/listinfo/exim-dev Exim details at http://www.exim.org/ ##
