Filter/capture question

Is there a way to remove the TCP data field from a capture?

The IP and TCP header info is needed, but I need to filter out the user
data.

You don't need a filter to do this; just check the "Limit each packet to
XX bytes" box in the Capture Options window. You can change the number
of bytes to fit the size of your headers.
