question about drbd and databases

Would drbd be suitable for providing failover for such things as a MySQL
database? The concerns are basically with how drbd does its
synchronization. Something like if someone is inserting information into
the primary db, would it be possible for the standby to get a partical
update causing the secondary to corrupt?
