We just identified this might be due to different version of drbd to be
used on the 2 nodes:

8.3.4-1 on source node
8.3.2-3 on destination node (where to kernel oops occured)

We also had another stacktrace when syncing in the other way around:
8.3.2-3 on source node
8.3.4-1 on destination node (kernel oops)
http://paste.dunnewind.net/show/38/

Let me know if that helps.

No.

No. That one is something different,
and most likely you simply screwed up the compilation.
drbd compiles without warnings.
if you get compilation warnings,
you got some compatibility define wrong.

Hi,

I backported drbd8-8.3.4-1 from debian/sid to squeeze using the
following commands:
dget http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/d/drbd8/drbd8_8.3.4-1.dsc
debuild -us -uc
dpkg -i *.deb
apt-get -f install
m-a update
m-a a-i drbd8
echo "drbd minor_count=128 usermode_helper=/bin/true" >> /etc/modules
modprobe drbd minor_count=128 usermode_helper=/bin/true

Maybe I did something wrong, or the debian packaging is to blame, let me
know if I can give you more information.

those packages are _broken_ in the sense that they explicitly do NOT
call our auto "adjust_drbd_config_h.sh" magic script.

So they may or may not be compatible with your currnet kernel,
depending on whether or not the "default" compat defines fit,
or not.

We are working with the maintainers on resolving this "the debian way".
