Re: DBMail 3.1.1 released -> caution: POP3 problem [In reply to]

I'm mobile for some beers - the last time i looked on git I saw the commits but not separated from the new features - can I have some bugfix-only tarball designated for 3.1.2 for testing tomorrow or tonight?

Re: DBMail 3.1.1 released -> caution: POP3 problem [In reply to]

Hi

at least i can confirm that the POP3 message got no longer corrupted

for more testings i need some hours rest in peace because the guy at
the bar missed the library "Tonic" in "Gin Tonic" after the beer :-)

am i stupid or did the branch not exist some hours ago?
however, i built 949e434f1405ea828a286ff8d1099af5afca3122 a few minutes ago

other guys are invited for testing too.....

http://git.dbmail.eu/paul/dbmail/log/?h=dbmail_3_1
http://git.dbmail.eu/paul/dbmail/commit/?h=dbmail_3_1&id=949e434f1405ea828a286ff8d1099af5afca3122

Harry

Reindl,

Never ask such question on the list... you may get an undesirable answer... :p

Re: DBMail 3.1.1 released -> caution: POP3 problem [In reply to]

949e434f1405ea828a286ff8d1099af5afca3122 looks really good
POP3 definitly does no longer damage the message in question
please can the other users with 3.1.1 problems test it too

if found one *possible* IMAP bug which is most likely *not*
a new regression but maybe worth too look at (attachment)

* Outlook 2007
* my known 1000 test-messages
* moving around between folders "Test 1", "Test 2" and "Test 3"
* "Test 3" is now empty, short ago the messages moved to "Test "
* anytime i try to open folder "Test 3" i get a error message
in Outlook that it can not read the headers and a imap command
has failed (thans to microsoft for not showing the command..)
* well, restarting Outlook and the problem is gone
* but on the other hand the server shows that there is really
communication with the client

LMTP:
i followed Puals advise to limit the lmtp-process-count in postfix
to 1 as well as "lmtp_destination_concurrency_limit = 1" and blowed
15000 messages with 1 MB attachments to localhost, the php-script
sends 500 messages, startet 3 times parallel, all fine

the message de-duplication is great!

INBOX: 15.36 GB
DATABSE + KEYS: 126 MB

Thunderbird has now to suck 15000 messages and is angry :-)

oh i can handle such answers well :-)

at least on thursday as 3.1.1 was out i am pretty sure that
http://git.dbmail.eu/paul/dbmail did not have a "dbmail_3_1"
branch on top......

Correct, but after 3.1.1 I started merging some contributions lingering
in the tracker (COPYUID, APPENDUID, some cyrillic mailbox matching
stuff) that I don't want to be part of 3.1.2.

The patches turn out to contain quite a few programming problems (mostly
leaks) that I need to iron out first. Last night I completed the RFC
involved by doing 'UID EXPUNGE' and add the UIDPLUS capability. Once the
leaks are removed, and I'm happy with the code again, I'll probably
release that as 3.2.0 just to keep a nice pace.
