how to configure the dbmail.conf

Hi, everybody,

I have installed a dbmail and postgresql and run them up.

but the /var/log/mail.log still shows following errors:
no value for TLS_CAFILE
no value for TLS_CERT
no value for TLS_KEY

how can I configure these value in /etc/dbmail.conf, thanks very much.

They are not fatal errors, but without them the dbmail daemons (imapd,
pop3d and timsieved) can't run in TLS mode.

To generate a self-signed certificate in /etc/dbmail.pem:

openssl req -new -x509 -nodes \
-days 1825 \
-out /etc/dbmail.pem \
-keyout /etc/dbmail.pem

after, specify /etc/dbmail.pem for all three fields in dbmail.conf and
restart dbmail.

Re: how to configure the dbmail.conf [In reply to]

Thanks, now I have resolved the previous problem.

But I run into anohter trouble. When I send a mail, the postfix will generate an error: to=XXX [at] XXX relay=none, delay=6, delays=0.01/0/6/0, dsn=5.4.4, status=bounced, (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=xxx.xx type =AAAA: Host not found)
I have written the 'dbmail-lmtp unix - - n - - lmtp -o disable_dns_lookups=yes' in the master.cf
and written the 'virtual_transport = dbmail-lmtp:localhost:24' in the main.cf

I don't know where is wrong at here, thanks for your kind help.

obviously the domain is not configured in postfix
you need to show your "postconf -n" output as well
as your mysql-configuration parts with passwords masked

*please* do not obfuscate like "XXX [at] XXX"
use "example.com" and let the user-part untouched or at least obfuscate
consistently so that debugging is possible by look at different pieces
