All messages do not show up (IMAP, Thunderbird)

Hi folks,

I've several mail accounts where two, or more users share the specific
DBMail accounts. They use the same user name and password to login with
through Mozilla Thunderbird to a specific account. For example, when one
of the users logon to a specific account, a bunch of newly arrived
messages are displayed. We have however stated, that not all messages
that really have arrived in the mail box are displayed. When another
user logs in, those messages that were not visible before shows up in
the inbox list. From that moment on, those "new" messages are also
visible in the inbox list of the first user. No filtering whatsoever is
used in the clients.

MySQL 5.0.51b under Slackware Linux (12.1.0, kernel 2.6.24.5)
DBMail 2.2.11
E-mail clients Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.18 -- 2.0.0.22. IDLE turned off
in Mozilla Thunderbird

Anybody got any idea what's wrong?

Best regards,

Peter

Peter,

Try disabling IDLE in dbmail.conf. I've had similar reports from my own
users where the problem described disappeared after disabling idle in
the clients.

Hi Paul,

The IDLE was always disabled in all Thunderbird clients, as there
otherwise were problems transgressing from pop3 mail boxes to imap mail
boxes. I did also remove IDLE from capabilities in dbmail.conf
yesterday. It will probably take a couple of days before any effect of
the changes may be noted.

Thanks for you help, Paul!

Peter
