[DBMail 0000925]: imapd leaks tempfile fds

The following issue has been SUBMITTED.
======================================================================
http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=925
======================================================================
Reported By: john
Assigned To:
======================================================================
Project: DBMail
Issue ID: 925
Category: IMAP daemon
Reproducibility: always
Severity: block
Priority: normal
Status: new
target:
======================================================================
Date Submitted: 14-Sep-11 18:50 CEST
Last Modified: 14-Sep-11 18:50 CEST
======================================================================
Summary: imapd leaks tempfile fds
Description:
This is a duplicate of Bug 744[1] (which was against 2.3.4 and fixed in
2.3.5) for the current stable DBMail 2.2.17.

In short: please backport the fix in commit 81dcefd[2] and release stable
DBMail 2.2.18.

This is a grave bug. It frequently fills up /tmp and dbmail has to be
restarted. Marked it as a blocker as the fix really has to make it into
2.2.18.

Setting a low MAXCONNECTS (like 100) to force frequent respawns of
dbmail-imapd childs does not help to mitigate this.

thanks for the quick backport! :-)

FYI: 035d3c8 is running fine now for 10 business hours, no fd leakage.

There's no way to add a note to a closed issue (without re-opening) in
mantis :-(

Thanks again,
John
