windows mobile weirdness

When I check email with a windows mobile 6.1 device via imap I'm getting
= signs through the messages,
There will be a paragraph of text and every few words there will be a =
sign randomly replacing a character. For =xample something like that.
Also It doesn't seem to be getting messages in sub folders. IT knows all
the folders exist but doesn't actually get mail for them.

Any hints?

Running 2.3.5 currently.

Are the subfolders subscribe at your WM device?
