QNAP qpkg someone?

Hi,

As I'm very happy with davical on our SOHO-network, I would like to feed
it also to a friend of mine who has an even smaller office than me ;)

He doesn't have a (linux) server, but uses a QNAP TS-212 device to serve
files across his network, and QNAP devices can be expanded with
qpkg-packages.

Installation is not guaranteed to be working - this is the only partial
success I found on the community forums:

http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?p=235110

Does anyone who follows this list have DAViCal installed on a QNAP
device?

THX!

I have no knowledge towards running DAViCal on QNAP but I can give you
some generel thoughts.

1) Database - and web servers are many times more I/O demanding than CPU
demanding.
2) QNAP usually provides excellent disk I/O - especially if the QNAP
is one rigged with a dedicated hardware RAID controller.

Given the fact that your friend is going to use it in a small office -
up to 20 users, I see no problem what so ever running DAViCal on QNAP.
