It should, and it looks like it isn't. It exits non-zero if there's a
"hard" error (for lack of a better term - out of memory, ssl protocol
failure, etc), but for "soft" stuff like failing to authenticate, not
finding a console, etc it doesn't. It really should, though. I'll need
to work on that.
