Mirrors policy - whom to contact?

Hello,

Could someone please advise me whom to contact, from ClamAV dev.team,
to receive comments about mirrors policy?

My previous question to this list was ignored. I was somewhat
surprised, since the request was both obvious and simple - how to make
local (i.e., "private") mirror for ClamAV virus DB. The silence here
drove me to investigate the question (since it is not stated in the
FAQ that there are no simple ways to run local mirror) and I found
several simple ways to set up private mirrors (I only spent half an
hour to write one from scratch).

My situation is ambiguous. First, I am capable of running public
ClamAV DB mirror. Second, I need private mirror for my company's
intranet, to save traffic. However, I am not given simple ways to
create the latter.

The ClamAV is a great tool and I consider use it in a commercial
product, let alone I promote it. But the mirror policy is strange. It
is easily circumvented (the above is one of many ways to run private
mirror) and I do not wish to install a proxy just for using ClamAV
updates.

Whom could I contact to ask about official mirroring policy?

Thank you.

Luca Gibelli would be a good starting point I think.

Have you tried searching the mailing list archives for mention of mirrors?

Probably people were expecting you to read something:

So is your English (although it's better than my Russian, so I'm
giving you the benefit of the doubt. :)

This question is covered in the FAQ.

Thank you very much, I'll address further questions to Luca.

With all respect,

Konstantin

Apparently the subject of mirrors is addressed in the FAQ, so probably
sensible to read that first.
