freshclam (0.93) corrupting daily.cld

Folks,

After freshclam downloads and notifies clamd to reload, clamd crashs refusing restart. I see in the logs as follow. Note this is a custom build ClamAV 0.93 for Trustix.

Thanks,
OSC

Do you have CompressLocalDatabase enabled? If so try disabling it.
Open a bugreport and attach your daily.cld.

Re: freshclam (0.93) corrupting daily.cld [In reply to]

I'm somewhat stumped on this issue, because regardless of the setting of /etc/freshclam.conf CompressLocalDatabase (yes or no), the clamd pid crashes after freshclam updates. I deleted the daily and main database several times and restarted from a fresh state, always resulting the in the same issue.

Clearly I can escalate my attempts by recompiling a with debugger symbols and using gdb or stracing to find the particular line of code that is problematic, but I suspect there is a better option. Any ideas??

Thanks,
OSC

Upgrade to the version from SVN or branch/0.93.

Would a 0.93.1 be in order?

Thanks
