High memory usage with clamd

Today we have been experiencing problems with clamd. We have a setup
that has exim with exiscan-acl patch and we use ClamAV to scan incoming
mail. We had installed a snapshot from 2004-02-18. This morning, it
started to eat a lot of memory resulting kernel killing processes
(including clamd). I restarted clamd, but after a couple of minutes, it
was using a lot of memory again. I decided to try newer version, so I
installed 0.70-rc. Didn't help: it had similar results after a while.
The same happened with snapshot from 2004-03-24.

So there is some mail message which will cause a serious memory leak in
clamd. I'm going to disable clamd for a while and see if I can track
this message down.

Yes, but it seems to work fine. Hmm, just noticed that SpamAssassin is
behaving oddly also... maybe I'm barking at the wrong tree here. I'll
have to inestigate this a bit more.
