Forwarding bugs upstream?

Hello all,
When I get debian bug reports that I think should be forwarded upstream,
where would you like me to send them? I was thinking that this list
was a reasonable place, so that they got a decent level of exposure, and
people could send patches if they want, but I don't want to send a bunch
of stuff if no one is hugely interested - might it be better to send
them to you privately? Just let me know which you prefer.
