Prognosis IPTM

Just wanted to get an opinion from people using Prognosis for Cisco IPT , I
am evaluating it for CCM 4 and the new CUCM. Any gotchas, any cool
features. We are looking at it to monitor Cisco , Nortel and Avaya with
it.

Thanks,

Aman

Re: Prognosis IPTM [In reply to]

I've got a big IPTM install base (many clusters, many many thousands of
phones) and absolutely love the product. Did a bake off a while ago
between IPTM, NetCool, CUOM and a few others and ended up with IPTM.

For what it's worth the newly added in Avaya monitoring component is
pretty cool - not as full-featured as the Cisco monitoring but that's
more a limitation of what Avaya makes available. To me on the Avaya
side of things the graphical representation of enclosure hardware
(compared to a 'list config all' via SAT) is worth a good deal.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Yes, So far we have evaluated CUOM and ITPM and it certainly looks good
over CUOM . I am disappointed that we need anther server ITPMX for CME
boxes. We are also having some issues adding Nortel CS1000M system and are
currently working on that.

Thanks for your inputs.
