mwi not turning on

Hello,

I have 12 ISR routers in our organization. All of them are running
the same version of CUCME and Unity Express. One of the locations has
issues with the MWI light not working on any of the phones. Is there
a place that I can start troubleshooting?

Thanks,
Dan.

Re: mwi not turning on [In reply to]

Check that you have set MWI indicate on and off numbers in Unity Express. Then on CUCME check your ephone-dn's that has been setup for MWI on and off and make sure it has the corresponding number for the MWI with the appropriate amount of dots after the number to match the number of digits for your extensions,

ie. if you have 4 digit dialling

!
ephone-dn 2
number 2000....
mwi on
!
ephone-dn 3
number 2001....
mwi off
!

regards
Wil

Re: mwi not turning on [In reply to]

I have double checked three of the routers in our system and they are
all setup the same way including the one that is not working:

CME:

!
ephone-dn 143
number 8000....
mwi on
!
!
ephone-dn 144
number 8001....
mwi off
!

Unity Express:

ccn application ciscomwiapplication aa
description "ciscomwiapplication"
enabled
maxsessions 6
script "setmwi.aef"
parameter "CallControlGroupID" "0"
parameter "strMWI_OFF_DN" "8001"
parameter "strMWI_ON_DN" "8000"
end application

Any other ideas?

Dan.

Re: mwi not turning on [In reply to]

You MAY have to make the following change in CUE.

Semantics are the same, but it might be finicky.

ccn application ciscomwiapplication aa
parameter "strMWI_OFF_DN" "8001...." <---
parameter "strMWI_ON_DN" "8000...." <---
end application

Re: mwi not turning on [In reply to]

Shouldn't need the "....." in the CUE application parameters. As long
as the extensions match the CME mwi on/off extensions it'll work.
