Phones losing connection to the CallManager

Hi,
I have a problem with some phones losing the connection to the Cisco
CallManager (CCM).
A similar problem was posted, few months ago, by Matt Oliver, as "Phones
displaying CM Down during calls".

I noticed in the ccm traces many messages that mentioned last reason of
restart as "CM-abort-TCP" (100 messages in 3 days, for 1000 phones).
Can anyone tell me what can be the root causes for these?

Thanks,
George

Re: Phones losing connection to the CallManager [In reply to]

What's the connection like between the phones and the CM(s)? Local
LAN? Frame Relay? T1? MPLS? Firewall(s) in between?

Re: Phones losing connection to the CallManager [In reply to]

Is MPLS, 200 Mbps, never seen more than 50% used.
The problem is I have multiple messages "CM-aborted-TCP" that means CCM
closed the TCP session, and I don't understand why.

Thanks,
George

Re: Phones losing connection to the CallManager [In reply to]

You'd need packet captures and ccm traces to fully understand this.
Make sure the captures are taken at both the phone and the CCM.

Re: Phones losing connection to the CallManager [In reply to]

Have you recently installed a new phone load? We had a similar issue
with 7941/61 and phone load newer than 8.3.2SR1.
