MGCP Gateway Calling Number Manipulation

Hello Team,

following topology:

PSTN------SiemensPBX---(Q-SIG)---MGCP-GW------CUCM_6.1.1

If a call comes in from the PSTN to the CUCM world via the QSIG-Trunk, the calling number is displayed on the IP Phone like this 32xxxxxxxxxxxx for a call from belgium for example. It is not possible to call this number back, because the leading zeros are missing. The calling number should look like this: 00032xxxxxxxxxxx. One 0 is needed to get an outside dialtone.
With H.323 i would do a digit manipulation on the gateway and prefix 000 to the incoming calling national / international number.
Is there a way to do this with MGCP via the CUCM administration?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Gregor

This is similar situation where we need to prefix digits for calls which
you up under missed calls on ip phones, You could use translation patterns
for translating the calling number in CUCM.

Check out the CCM advanced service parameters starting with "incoming
calling party". This will automatically prefix digits on the calling
party number for national, international, etc calls.

Unless they've fixed things, if you are in NANPA and you have 10 digit local
calling then all calls are marked as "NATIONAL" and all your calls will have
the 91 added to the front, regardless of LD or local.

Ryan – I’m familiar with advanced service parameters but I’ve never seen
anything for Incoming Calling Party where you can specify prefix digits for
national, international, and so on. I’m running CUCM 6.1. Am I looking in
the wrong place?

System->Service Parameters->(server)->Cisco CallManager. At the top
will be a button to show the advanced parameters. Once you click
that and the page reloads search for "incoming calling party".
