Unity Connection Web Password

Unity Connection Web Password

Hi All,

Has anybody unlocked Unity connection's Administration password. This is the
password that you use to login into the Unity Connection Administration Web
page. I am trying to log into Unity connection administration page and I
guess I typed wrong passwords two many times and know it says " account
Locked" . Before this I never thought this account could be locked. I have
already rebooted the server but no use. Any help will be appreciated.

The account should unlock after the interval defined in the
authentication rule associated with your administrator account (I think
the default is 30 minutes). What version is this? Assuming 1.2, you can
force it to reset by resetting the password from the command prompt:

G:\Cisco Unity Connection\TechTools\pwreset.bat Administrator <new password>

Whenever I hear the story about someone who endlessly tolerates a
malfunction without really fixing it, whether it's a PC or a car or a
blender, I refer to it as "the standard Microsoft fix", essentially:
'ignore it until it won't go any more then reboot', followed closely by
'reboot till it works'.

I don't mean to pick on anyone, but it's incredibly frustrating that in
this culture, it is not only tolerated but even expected to periodically
take a mallet to the brains of our critical systems in the hope that it
will be better when they regain consciousness. You would yell at your
LEC if they pulled something like that.... oops...
