On a Windows box I try never to run defrag except from safe mode or else it takes forever. I'd fully expect defrag to cause a tremendous amount of disk io which can easily crash CCM. -Ryan On Jun 14, 2006, at 12:20 PM, Leetun, Rob wrote: Good morning, Have any of you seen phones not failover to another CallManager during the defragging of the call manager's hard drive (HD)? The HD on the CallManager is very fragmented, which the SA tried to run defrag on it. The defrag failed, which it took down the phones with it. Should have they forced the phones over to another CallManager and then run defrag, or does it matter? I would lean towards forcing the phones to another CallManager before running defrag. Ideas? Thanks in advance!
