Troubleshooting Unity issues

We are troubleshooting an issue with users in Unity when accessing their
voicemail by selecting the messages button, they are still prompted to
enter the mailbox #.

Any ideas on why this may not be working for some users and working for
others?

This environment is Unity 5.x, integrated with AD domain and Exchange.

Thanks!

Maybe a different voice mail profile on their DN?

DTMF issues?

I know Unity Connection has a service parameter to disable the UserID on PIN failure....not sure if Unity has it, but might help you. The Enter your userID after pin failure is annoying...

first thing i would try is the port status monitor tool available from ciscounitytools.com.

compare the two scenarios, usually that will tell you why it's not attempting subscriber login.

Re: Troubleshooting Unity issues [In reply to]

Connection 7.x introduced a security option that asked for ID/PIN if the first Pin entry is wrong. Not sure if there is something similar in your version.

Re: Troubleshooting Unity issues [In reply to]

Turns out this was attributed to a permissions issue between Exchange and
Unity.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
