ccmuser & end-user guides

Hello everyone

The ccmuser page has a link to an end-user guide (pdf file). My questions:
- are these pdf guides updated wih every cop.sgn firmware upgrade?
- is localization applied to the file i.e. if the user has his language changed will the link follow that configuration?
- can we replace the default files with our customized versions and if yes how?

The User Guides for phones are updated with each UCM version. I do believe they are localized and no, you cannot replace them with customized files.

I must be hitting a bug as the link is not working for 6941 users
on 8.5.1.13900-5. You are right the link is localized.
Too bad that we cannot replace the default files, I was kind of hoping to
be able to fix this myself...

What version of the French locale is installed on that server?

If you replace the '86' in the filename with '85' does it find the file? I think it's odd that an 8.5 CUCM would link to an 8.6 doc.

Kind of a mess with the url's. Double-checked to make sure but here's
what I got:

For a 7975 user:
Manuel du t�l�phone IP Cisco Unified 7975G pour Cisco Unified
Communications Manager 7.0(SCCP et SIP)
pdf reference = OL-17369-01
URL works in ccmuser :
/PhoneGuides/locales/fr/PhoneOnlineGuide/7975/7975sccp.pdf

Note that it's version 7.0

For a 7962 user

Please note the 6242 at the end. It is not my typo... And yes it's
still version 7.0

For a 6941 user
URL does not works in ccmuser :

For a 6921 user
URL does not works in ccmuser :

Using your suggestion found some more weird results using trial and
error. Both links below point to a quick start guide for a 6921 on the
same server...
/PhoneGuides/locales/fr/PhoneOnlineGuide/6921_41_61/6921sccp.pdf
/PhoneGuides/locales/fr_fr/PhoneOnlineGuide/6921_41_61/6921sccp.pdf

Point 1. Didn't know the quick start guides are on the server...
Point 2. fr in the URL does the same thing as the fr_fr

Nope, no way to remove the URL and it looks to be an issue with the 6900 and 8945 as well. Please open a TAC SR so a bug can be filed to address this. I tested it in 8.6 and both are broken.
