7965 SCCP 9.3 and + dialing

Similar to the 9971 is there a way to + dial from a 7965 SCCP phone? Certain load, firmware release?

From 9971 User Guide
Plus Dialing allows you to press and hold the "*" key for at least 1 second to add a plus "+" sign

Re: 7965 SCCP 9.3 and + dialing [In reply to]

if dialing from corporate directory:
CSCsv69814 Cannot Dial numbers prefixed with a "+"(Plus)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/firmware/9_1_1/english/release/notes/7900_911.html#wp45395

Plus Dialing

In this release, users can now press and hold the "*" key for 1 second to add a plus "+" sign as the first digit in a phone number for international dialing.

After the phone number includes the + sign, users can go into directories, such as received calls and call history, and select and dial the entry with the + sign without having to add digits for international calls.

These Cisco Unified IP Phones (SIP) support this feature:

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7906G

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7911G

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7931G

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G-GE

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7942G

Re: 7965 SCCP 9.3 and + dialing [In reply to]

Apologies, I just read the sccp clarification in the subject. in that case:
CSCsx10430 SCCP Corporate Directory "Edit Dial" displays Alphanumeric charaters

this is closed that it will not be solved. workaround would be to use translation patterns to prefix + as necessary.

So if I am reading this correctly, the 7965's will never be able to dial "+" from the missed call directory?

...But the standing best practice is to globalized the numbers before they get into the missed calls directory.

It's really the best way to make missed calls work without edit dial. The old solution of prefixing the 9 or whatever trunk access code the system was using was never ideal, and I never was comfortable implementing the kludge.

Users and I have been really happy just putting a + in front of the number.

Yeah, sounds like what I have done in the past

Display on the phone 10/11 digits.
Display in the directories should be +<10/11D>
