Unity Connection SMTP notification not working?

Hi All.

Unity CX 2.x

I have set up the smart host to our internal SMTP server,
I have set up my e-mail address as a notification destiantion,

but nothing gets sent, I can't see any connection being made to our SMTP server.

I have restarted SMTP service on unity.

And from the console on Unity I can ping the SMTP server fine.

Any ideas on how I can trace this?

Cheers

Rob

Collect the SMTP server trace files and see if there are errors.

Make sure the traces for SMTP are on, then leave a message so that an SMTP
notification would be sent, then collect the trace files for that period and
look for errors.

We had an issue where our DNS and domain names were mismatched, our DNS
entries and server hostname did not match the SMTP domain or something like
that I can't quite remember what it was now was over 2 years back.

Hi Daniel,

I am using the IP of the smart host so i think I can rule out DNS.

I have tried to turn on trace, but there seems tpo be no file created. I take it thes should be available in the TFTP upload/download???

Cheers

Robin

If you go to the page "System Settings > SMTP Configuration > Server" is the
SMTP domain entry the same as the servers hostname and DNS entry?
