Update CTl when upgrading from CCM 5.x to 6.x

Hi,
This weekend we are upgrading our CCM from 5.1(3) to 6.1(1). My question is very simple: we are using security and encryption in the cluster, is it necessary to update manually the CTL file or is automatic?
