3rd party SIP questions

I am trying to wrap my head around this. I have a CME site with CUE and
it is working great. I am wanting to run some 3rd party SIP clients on
this. I can set them up and call them from the Main office with no
problems. But I only get inbound ring tone and "dead air". So I am
looking at a Codex issue ? But if my CUE is working this should tell me
that I am able to transcode G711 into G729.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction ?

what does the config look like for the SIP ephone

voice pools and voice register global

Also SIP phones do not support voice-class codec they only support a hard
coded codec.

Lastly what version of CME/IOS

What happens if you force all endpoints to G.711 and place a call?
