CCM 7.1(3) Services URL button for Visual Voicemail works intermittent

CCM 7.1(3) Services URL button for Visual Voicemail works intermittent

If I press Services then Visual Voicemail it works fine, however if I
make a Services URL on a Phone Button Template and assign to phone it
works intermittently. All I have is 1 7970 to test this with.



CallManager 7.1(3) with 2 Nodes (1 Pub, 1 Sub)

CP-7970G Load File SCCP70.8-5-2S, phone is registered to Subscriber

We are not using Extension Mobility

Using a IP Address of Publisher in the URL Service configuration

What does 'works intermittently' mean, what happens when it doesn't (no
response, error displayed, etc)? Unity or Unity Connection?

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't . Like the Intermittent
setting on my cars windshield wipers...Unity Connection 7.1(3), but I
think bug is with SURL.

I wasn't so much fishing for a definition of intermittent as I was for a
description of the actual problem :-) When you hit the button and it
'doesn't work', what happens? Absolutely nothing? An error is displayed? The
phone catches on fire?

It does sound like it could be a problem with the service url button.
Depending on the symptoms, you might try enabling the Tomcat micro traces on
Unity Connection and collecting the logs to see if a request is even being
sent to the server at the time of the problem.

When it occurs, nothing happens, it's as if you didn't push it at all!

I'm browsing around CUService > Trace and don't see where to set the
micro trace for Tomcat. I was expected CiscoTomcat or Tomcat but don't
see it...

Actually, I believe the micro traces to set would be under 'VMWS'. Then you
can use RTMT to collect "Connection Tomcat Application" for VMWS specific
info and "Cisco Tomcat" for (among other things) access logs, which should
show what IP requested what URL at what time, etc. It would be interesting
to see what (if anything) you see in the access logs for a failed attempt
compared to a working one.
